Coming to Jerusalem: Rabbi Mordy Katz performing with Mr Anglo Comedy Israel

Rabbi Katz
The affable, sharp-tongued Rabbi Mordy Katz™ performs regularly at comedy venues in Australia and beyond, as well as at Jewish communal events and fundraisers globally. He made many new friends in Jerusalem when he performed here - to a sell-out crowd - in October 2013.

The great news is... he's back! And as with last time, he's appearing at Jerusalem's pre-eminent English-language comedy club, Off the Wall Comedy Basement, on a bill that includes David Kilimnick, Israel's father of Anglo comedy.
Tourists and native Israelis rave about David's unique ability to transform the daily chaos and aggravation of Israeli life into an evening full of laughter. David Kilimnick's material covers the rocky transition from "New York Cocoon" to his new life as an "Oleh Chadash" or Israeli newcomer. David recently appeared on Beep, Israel's comedy network, and has been hailed by the tough Israeli media as a rising star who possesses Seinfeldian charm when he takes to the stage.

Like last time, the upcoming show is a benefit for the work of the Malki Foundation.

Thanks to the talents of our good friend and devoted supporter Robert Weil, Rabbi Katz (his invented alter ego) has acquired a global reputation for good humour and fun. He was honored some years ago with the “World’s Funniest Rabbi” award in an international competition held at Manhattan’s Stand Up New York Comedy Club. The Jewish Humor Central website says this of him:
Australian businessman Robert Weil has them laughing all over the world, doing standup comedy in the US and Israel as well as his native country. As Rabbi Mordy Katz, Weil is in demand at weddings and other special occasions.  His shtick is posing as a rabbi from Borough Park, and his jokes cover many traditional Jewish bases -- mothers-in-law, weddings, funerals, missionaries, and more.
Here's a YouTube sampler of his performance.
We hope you will join us. This is a rare, special one-off opportunity to enjoy an evening of fine and original Jewish humor, while at the same time benefiting the children who benefit from the work of the Malki Foundation.
