Golf for the Malki Foundation in London

The beautiful venue, The Shire London
Nicole Gordon reports on a golf event held yesterday in the United Kingdom to benefit the work of the Malki Foundation:

The  autumnal sun shone down on all our golfers at the inaugural Keren Malki golf day on October 1, 2014  Over 30 people supported the event. The golfers trudged across the Master golf course at The Shire London in Barnett, Hertfordshire, a challenging 18 hole course which was designed by Seve Ballesteros - the only such course in England.

The winning team was Robert Green’s fourball - great because Robert is one of Keren Malki UK's trustees!

After 5 hours out in the open, our golfers enjoyed a beautiful fish lunch and a much needed glass of wine.  Lunch was followed by a presentation about Keren Malki.

Fabulous raffle prizes which included a 3 day trip to the luxury Mahogany Springs Safari Resort in Bwindi, Uganda, a gourmet meal for two, and a man’s wristwatch, were enjoyed by many of the participants. We are extremely appreciative to all those who donated raffle prizes for the event.

One of our golfers, Mark Son, sent an email after the event:
"Hi Nicole and Robert, thank you so much for today, I really enjoyed the event and played with 2 superb golfers in Ian and Richard. Well done on fantastic organisation and for raising awareness of such an excellent charity - looking forward to the next one!"
All the funds raised from the day will play an important part in ensuring Keren Malki can continue its good work.

Plans are already underway in securing a date for the second Keren Malki golf day some time in spring 2015 where the UK team anticipates numbers will double.
